CUET UG Result 2025, The National Testing Agency (NTA) today officially released the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2025 results on its official portal, cuet.nta.nic.in, bringing relief and excitement to over 13.5 lakh undergraduate aspirants across India.
Release Time & How to Check
Although the exact time of declaration wasn’t specified, the NTA confirmed via its official X (Twitter) handle that results would be out on July 4, 2025. As of this afternoon, students can check their results by:
Visiting cuet.nta.nic.in
Clicking on the “CUET UG Result 2025 / Scorecard” link
Entering their application number and date of birth
Downloading and saving the scorecard PDF
What the Scorecard Shows
The digital document includes:
Composite score and subject-wise splits
Candidate details (name, roll number, category)
Percentile and normalization details, accounting for multiple shifts
For multi-shift sessions, a statistical normalization method ensures scoring fairness.
Final Answer Key & Scoring Rules
On July 1, NTA released the final answer key, which notably dropped 27 questions across subjects due to technical errors. All candidates received full marks (+5 each) for these, regardless of whether they attempted them.
The official marking scheme remains:
+5 marks for a correct answer
–1 mark for an incorrect answer
0 marks for unattempted questions
Additionally, any questions with multiple correct options carry full marks if the candidate selects any correct one.
Candidates & Participating Universities
This year, over 13.5 million (“13.5 lakh”) students registered for CUET UG, with approximately 243 universities across central, state, private, and deemed categories participating, including DU, JNU, and BHU.
Since CUET 2025, the exam was held from May 13 to June 3, with re-tests organized on June 2 and June 4 for candidates affected by issues earlier—such as in the Accountancy exam—underlining NTA’s commitment to fairness.
Next Steps: Counselling, Cut-offs & Admissions
While there won’t be a centralized counselling process, individual universities have begun:
Delhi University is set to launch its CSAS (Common Seat Allocation System) registration this week.
BHU is expected to quickly release its cut-off lists once scorecards are available, aiming to mirror last year’s thresholds with slight increases—especially in Science and Commerce fields For aspirants eyeing institutions like DU, BHU, JNU, or even state/private universities, the path forward involves:
-
Checking cut-offs for desired programs
-
Registering independently on each university’s admission portal
-
Uploading documents: CUET scorecard, Class 12 marksheet, photo ID, category certificate (if applicable)
-
Seat acceptance and payment of admission fees within deadlines
